What is covered?:

Pets must be at least 6 weeks of age before enrollment. Embrace offers one overall coverage plan that includes:

• Accidents
• Illnesses
• Surgery
• Genetic, breed-dependent conditions
• Cancer treatment
• Specialist care
• Chronic Conditions
• Alternative Therapies
• Rehab
• Prescription medication
• Hospitalization

Moreover, Clients may add

• Welfare rewards: covers annual checkup, flea and tick treatments and vaccinations
• Dental rewards: Covers routine teeth cleaning and dental issues

Are pre-existing conditions covered?:

Pre-existing conditions are defined as conditions that have been observed before signing up with Embrace. They differentiates between curable and incurable pre-existing conditions. Curable conditions, such as diarrhea and vomiting, bladder infections or respiratory infections that have occurred before signing up with Embrace are excluded from coverage for 12 months from the last incident. Incurable conditions, such as allergies, cancer, diabetes, orthopedic injuries, skin lumps and other chronic conditions which have occurred or been diagnosed prior to enrollment with Embrace are permanently excluded from coverage.

What is not included in plans?:

• Pre-existing conditions: If curable, these are temporarily excluded from Embrace pet insurance. If incurable, pre-existing conditions are permanently excluded from Embrace coverage
• Any injuries or illnesses that are the result of neglect or cruelty
• Behavioral issues
• Pregnancy and Breeding
• Organ transplants
• Stem cell research
• Avian Flu
• De-clawing, ear cropping or tail docking
• DNA testing
• Cremation or burial
• Prosthetic limbs

Any Vet?:

Any vet can be used.

Policy Duration:

12 months.

Deductible:

Annual deductible instead of “per-incident” deductible. Depending on the plan, deductibles can range $100, $200, $300, $500, $1000 per year.

Pricing:

Starts at $16/month. Pricing can be tailored towards the needs of individual pets. Quotes depend on annual maximum coverage chosen, co-pays, the age of the pet, deductibles etc. Reimbursement can range from 65%, 80% to 90%. Embrace has a maximum annual payout of $5000, $10000 or $15000 pet year. There are no maximum incident or lifetime payouts. And the co-pay can range from 10%, 20% to 35%.
